This is a laparoscopic trainer for the fundamental skills and techniques of laparoscopic surgery, helping to improve the trainee’s skills like eye-hand coordination and cooperation of both hands, and giving them the opportunity to develop proficiency in instruments use and techniques such as transferring, threading, tension, cutting, suturing and knot tying. It comes with a fully integrated touch-screen computer, box trainer, set of 8 training modules and 4 laparoscopic instruments, offering an ideal choice for individual or team training.

Hardware

1. The box trainer simulates a real abdomen with the abdominal landmarks. Its design is easy to place and replace the modules.

Software

Training mode:

? Instrument can be identified.

? Training parameters are tracked in real time. There will be alarms when the parameters such as covered distance, trembling of hand, number of grip clamping, movement speed, acceleration and operation frequency are out of range.

? Real-time parameter change waveform

? Automated training data recording, evaluation and analysis

? Video can be reviewed in different speed (quick & slow motion).

? Annotations and marks can be added or viewed on the time axis and the instructor can add their feedback in comments.

? Training records can be searched by time and keywords, and can be sorted by training time, training name, and evaluation score.

Free mode:

     ? Practice freely within the set time without any prompt

     ? Simulate realistic laparoscopic field of view and operating environment, helpful for quickly developing surgical skills

4.  Live video stream: The instructor’s operation can be displayed on the Learner’s unit in real time.

? Evaluation and video playback can be exported all or parts. Training records can be deleted manually

? Training courses management including viewing, sorting, searching, editing and deleting

? Training contents can be edited in text, pictures, videos, etc.

? Key expert technique can be collected as evaluation criterion, supporting minor adjustment
